  • Is this a live course or a go at-your-own-pace course?
    This course is a live course, meaning that there will be an instructor present teaching at the course. You must be present during the course.
  • What do I need to register/take the course?
    To register for the course, you will need to fill out the registration form. You will also need to upload a copy of your nursing license or verification of your nursing license. To take the course, you will need to be present at the course for all three days.
  • How do I get a verification of my nursing license?
    You can get a verification of your nursing license by going to your state's nursing website and searching for yourself. You can take a picture of the verification, download it, or screen capture it and upload it to the site.
  • What formats are valid for submitting my nursing license on the registration form?
    You can submit a PDF, a picture, a screenshot, or a scan of your nursing license or nursing verification.
  • Who can register for the course?
    Any licensed nurse (LVN, LPN, or RN) in the United States can register for the course and take the exam.
  • Are there any CEUs given for this course?
    There will be a maximum of 22 CEUs given for the course. You must be present for every lecture (attendance will be taken) and answer 100% of the questions in every lecture to receive the appropriate number of CEUs for that lecture. The CEUs are given by the California Board of Registered Nursing and are valid for nurses in all 50 states.
  • Who can attend the course?
    Any licensed nurse (LVN, LPN, or RN) in the United States can attend the course.
  • Do I get a certification for taking this course?
    You do not get a certification for taking the SWOC course. The certification is achieved by taking and passing the SWOC certification exam.

    This course does not make you a wound care or treatment nurse. The course will teach you a lot of the knowledge that is needed to be a successful wound care or treatment nurse, and the certification will also make you standout. However, you will need to apply for such positions.
