WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR CERTIFICATION?

Look below to see if you meet the qualifications for the SWOC certification.

Requirements for nurses interested in taking the SWOC Exam:

1. Valid Nursing License

Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN), and License Practical Nurse (LPN)
The license must be in good standing with the state board.

2. Completion of a minimum of 22 contact hours in skin, wound, and ostomy care education with courses approved by the state nursing board.

Eligibility requirements for the SWOC exam will be examined on a yearly basis to evaluate the efficacy and overall competence of SWOC nurses.
