Requirements for Advanced Level Providers interested in taking the SWOC-S Exam are the following:
Valid professional license
Medical Doctors (MDs), Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DOs), Physician Assistants (PAs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs)
The license must be in good standing with the state board.
Completion of a minimum of 14 CME hours in skin, wound, and ostomy care education with courses approved by state medical boards and 3 or more years of clinical wound care experience.
Eligibility requirements for the SWOC-S exam will be examined on a yearly basis to evaluate the efficacy and overall competence of SWOC-S Advanced Level Provider.
